Hi! My name is Justin Hoilman. Presented here is the history of where Computer Pros came from, and who we are.

The company was originally founded in 1996 in Johnson City, TN by Shawn Miller.  Back then, it was called New Age Computers. In 2001, the name was changed in a merger to Networking and Computers. In the spring of 2003, a second location was opened in Greeneville, TN. Then in the fall of 2003, a third location was opened in Bristol, VA.  On August 7, 2007, there was a buyout of the Greeneville and Bristol stores. To distinguish the businesses from the old partner the name was changed again to what is now, Computer Pros.

This is where I came in.

In 2008, I ran a successful franchise in the carpet cleaning world. After a series of unfortunate events, I was unable to continue in that line of work. I had some free time to refocus and start over with an opportunity to team up with Shawn Miller to grow the Computer Pros Brand to the next level.  In 2009, we experienced an 86% growth in sales. By 2011, we increased to 3 locations by building a store in Elizabethton TN.

In 2016, my wife Ladonna and I purchased & operated a company in the mobile electronics sector named Freedom Wireless. She ran that company full time as the Owner and Lead Technician while I worked in Computer Pros full time as the Regional Manager.

In October 2018, we acquired an alarm contracting business which allowed us to add security camera and alarm systems to our expanding list of services offered.

In November of 2018, Shawn Miller stated that he wished to sell Computer Pros and retire.

By December 2018, we had struck a deal, and on Jan 1st, 2019, we took control of all three locations and merged Freedom Wireless into Computer Pros.

With new opportunities and major vendors like Verizon, ViaSat, and Johnson Controls available, we saw our business becoming an all-in-one-place answer to technology services, sales, and support.

I explain all these things to let you know a few key points:

What We Do

We are a full service computer and electronics repair center. We carry a large inventory of parts in stock for same day repairs when needed. We can fix your home computer or come out to your business to help with a server problem. We are the region’s leading laptop repair facility performing even the most detailed repairs which can save a significant amount of money by repairing a board rather than replacing it. We fix TVs and cell phones also.

One of the greatest advantages of purchasing products and services from Computer Pros is that we are a local American owned company that stands behind our products and services. I communicate any potential problems with my agreements at the first opportunity and try my best to always resolve them immediately.

I speak positively of my fellow team members, my clients, and Computer Pros in both public and private. I speak with purpose using positive conversation. I refuse to listen to gossip or negative comments. I acknowledge what others say as being true in that moment and take responsibility for how people understand what I say. I always try to use the customers name when speaking with them and do so in a friendly and positive attitude. All concerns are discussed in private.

Success

I focus all my thoughts, energy, and attention towards the goals of my task. I am willing to win and still allow others to win. At all times I display pride, competence, integrity, and confidence. I believe I am a successful person.

Education

I learn from my mistakes. I constantly learn and grow so that I can help my fellow team members and clients learn and grow. I provide my clients with the best information available so they can make educated decisions.

Teamwork

I am part of a team and will always act to better the team. I do whatever it takes to achieve team goals. I focus on cooperation with the team when there is a concern. I am flexible with my work and willing to change for the benefit of the team. I will ask for help when needed and gladly take the opportunity to help others when they need it.

Fun

I view my life as a journey to be enjoyed and appreciated. I create an atmosphere of fun and happiness so that all around me can enjoy it also. I wear this attitude every day and it is easily visible to others.

System

I always look to the system, company, or policy for a solution. If a challenge arises I look to see why it occurred and what can be done to prevent it from happening again. I recognize there is always room for improvement and will recommend any ideals to increase efficiency and productivity.

Consistency

I am consistent with my actions so clients and teammates will always feel comfortable dealing with me. I am disciplined with my work so that my results and growth are consistent.

Gratitude

I am a truly grateful person. I say “Thank You” often to show appreciation. I recognize the simple comments of others such as phone notifications with this term. I appreciate everyone and everything in my life. I recognize that everyone contributes toward the team. I celebrate the wins of my clients, my teammates, and myself. I look for ways to catch others doing things right so I can point it out to them.

Leadership

I believe in leadership by example. We are all part of the team and no task is too petty for anyone. We all have our goals but we must keep in mind the greater good and help others when needed. I will always try to be a good leader and help others through my examples.

Customers

I will always strive to fix the customer first and the computer second through assurance that we can help and empathy of their problem. If a problem arises I will apologize first, and then fix the problem second. I recognize that attitude is the most important aspect when dealing with a customer problem.
